Irene’s primary focus is Corporate and Commercial law, with particular expertise on advising energy and natural resource companies on mergers, acquisitions and disposals, joint ventures, listings, financings and regulatory affairs.

Since the mid-nineties, Irene has been involved in providing advice to the Gas Transportation Division of Ervia and has been its lead lawyer in the production of the Code of Operations. 

Irene has been consistently recommended in Chambers and Partners since 2007 and has been described as an “exceptionally strong energy lawyer”. In the 2018 edition, one impressed interviewee notes that she “knows more about the gas operator in Ireland than anybody else”.
